Friday, March 15, 2013 - The Karel Zeman Museum has won the ARAS Award. The award is given by the Association of Directors and Cameramen for a creative work, organizational activity or any production in the audiovisual sector. Thank you!

The awards ceremony and presentation of the prizes took place at the start of the “FEBIO FEST” film festival in the Cinestar cinema in Andel, Prague. Representatives of the Karel Zeman Museum were presented the award by the chairman of the ARAS AWARD 2013 jury, writer-director Peter Kaňka and screenwriter and writer Miroslav Adamec.

The award statuette, used for the ARAS Award this year for the first time, was designed by the sculptress Šárka Radová. The figurine represents the "Muse of Film-makers" and is made of “bisque”, unglazed white china. The base of the statuette carries the words – "CENA ARAS" with the year of the award, “2013”, marked on the side. The inscription on the base is painted in brick red into engraved lettering.
